Why don't the slabs sink into the mud without a substructure?

The INB system panels are pushed into each other with the interlocking, creating a self-supporting overall surface. An even load distribution and the integrated air cushioning ensure that the surface does not sink, similar to a raft.

What is a substructure?

A substructure or base layer refers to a structure that is intended to support the actual component. A common substructure for grass grid panels consists of fleece, 10-15 cm of gravel as a base layer and 2-3 cm of chippings as a leveling layer. This effort is eliminated with the INB system.

What are the dimensions of a pallet?

The pallet dimensions of the INB system are 1.10m x 1.10m x 2m with a weight of 962 kg. The dimensions may vary for other products.

How much does the INB® system plate weigh?

One panel of the INB® system weighs approximately 7 kg, 1 m² weighs 27.5 kg, a pallet weighs 962.50 kg.

How do I install the INB system panels?

You can find detailed installation instructions under Downloads or on the homepage. If you have any other questions, you can contact us at any time.

Do you really need a wear layer?

We recommend a wear layer, especially for animal husbandry, as this protects the slab from heat and abrasion and at the same time provides greater slip resistance. The INB system acts as a drainage slab and replaces the substructure, but not the superstructure.

Are there alternatives to the wear layer?

There are several options for footing layers. Depending on the level of activity in the existing area, 5-10 cm of sand, bark mulch, paddock chips, forest soil, etc. are suitable. You can also let grass grow through the panels. It is also possible to replace the footing layer with soft panels or rubber mats. It is important that the product is permeable to water.

Do the holes in the INB system panel need to be made from a different material than the wear layer?

The holes in the INB system should be filled with a water-permeable material. Examples of this are coarse sand, gravel, chippings or even topsoil. Whereas the wear layer, especially in animal husbandry, should consist of a softer and finer material.

Can the INB system be used on slopes?

In general, we recommend the INB system for slopes of up to 5%. The steeper the slope, the faster the recommended wear layer will wear away.

Why does the INB system plate have two different sides?

The INB system has a closed and an open side. The closed side is double-napped and is used for building walkways, paddocks, etc.
The open side has diamond-shaped air cushions or water reservoirs. When building a riding arena or round pen, the open side is placed upwards to store moisture.

How long is the delivery time for the INB® system plate?

The delivery time for the INB® system plate is usually 5 – 10 working days for full pallets.

Can the INB® system panel also be laid on clay soils?

Yes, the INB® system panel can also be laid on clay soils, but you should check how deep the soil is. A separating layer between the soil and the panels would be a good idea if you want to be absolutely sure that nothing sinks. You can do this with a fleece or a mole net, for example. Then lay the paddock panels on top, fill in the holes and then the footing layer.

Why should you pay attention to expansion joints when laying tiles?

Every plastic has its own material properties. This material expands when it is hot and contracts when it is cold. This results in a linear expansion of up to +/- 1.5%. If the expansion is not taken into account when laying the panels, there will be a lack of space, which can cause them to stand up in places.

What should I do if I seem to have laid the tiles incorrectly?

Please contact us. Every floor has different characteristics, the more information you can give us, the better we can help you. Pictures and videos of the area are also very helpful.

How quickly can 10 m² be laid?

10 m² of the INB system panel require an installation time of approx. 10-15 minutes.

How long does the INB plate last?

We offer a 20-year guarantee on all products made from 100% recycled plastic. Please see our guarantee conditions .

In which countries can you purchase INB plates?

Horses Home can ship the INB plates throughout Europe. In addition, various distribution partners distribute the product worldwide. Please take a look at our distribution partner glossary .

Where does the plastic come from?

The INB system is mainly manufactured in Germany and, more recently, in Canada. The raw material comes from the dual system. This means that the plastics collected in the yellow bin are sorted, cleaned and processed.

What is the advantage over wooden products?

Plastic is much more durable than wood - wood can rot, plastic cannot. All products made from Hanit (recycled plastic) come with a 20-year material guarantee.

How are the delivery costs calculated?

Delivery costs are calculated based on weight and distance. We therefore need a quantity and address. We work with various shipping partners and pass the price on directly to our customers without any profit surcharge.

Is unloading included in the delivery?

For products under two metres in length and five tonnes in weight, unloading is included. For anything over that, there may be extra costs for a forklift on board.

Can the INB® system panel also be laid on chippings or gravel?

We have not had good experiences with grit or gravel under the INB® system plate. With grit or gravel under the plate, the expansion is greater because it gets warmer under the plate (there is no cooling of the natural ground). In addition, the grit is mobile, which means that the plate also becomes more mobile and moves.

Why do the INB® system panels have different shades of grey?

Our INB® system panels are made in Germany from recycled plastic from the dual system (yellow bag). The entire color spectrum is represented in our plastic waste. When these colors are mixed, a gray color is created. The shade of gray varies depending on which raw materials ended up in our plastic waste and at what time of year - our consumer behavior is seasonal. The paddock panel then brightens up a little when exposed to sunlight. Discoloration or color differences do not represent a lack of quality. Rather, it is a sustainable product that is certified with the "Blue Angel" environmental label. The "Blue Angel" identifies products and services that are particularly environmentally and health-friendly when viewed holistically. Each panel is therefore unique.
